Today is officially my last day teaching the kids. Also, 6 months of working life has came to an end. Gained much working experience through out this half year, out of which were tiring & fun.

1. Jan to Feb : Tuition teacher.
2. March to April : Data entry clerk at an engineering firm.
   
3. May to June : Home tutor.

Looking at my record, my friends said i'm turning into a workaholic. So first, i'm a chocoholic. Then i'm broke, so i've to work. And i kinda got addicted to working, so that makes me a workaholic. When i've got salary, i tend to spend, some more freaky SALES so big there the words so tempting as well! Then i became a shopaholic.

The fact that i'm broke now, i really have no idea where and how i spent my 6 months worth of salary. So yeah, back to square one.

I promised the kids i'll blog about them, so tada. For the past weeks, i've been teaching these two kids : Gawen & Tristan Lo.

Of the conversations i remembered. Can drive me nuts at times, bombarded me with so many many questions like there's no tomorrow. but it was fun =))

Tristan Gawen : Teacher, do u play Neopets?
Me : No, why??
Tristan Gawen : U know what Neopets is about?
Me : Errr i think so. Heard about it. Why??
Tristan Gawen : *go on and on & on and on and seriously go on and on & on NEOPETS*
Me : Wait till i sign up for Neopets then u tell me more about it, okay?
Tristan Gawen : okay.

...*silence*...until suddenly.

Tristan Gawen : Teacher, u know Neopets there's this....*on and on & on & on about NEOPETS lagi*

Tristan Gawen : Teacher, do u watch youtube?
Me : No.
Tristan Gawen : Why? U're the only person i've known so far that doesnt watch youtube.
Me : I dont like youtube mahhhhh.
Tristan Gawen : Why?
Me : erm i dont know i just dont like it.
Tristan Gawen : Is it because it loads very slow?
Me : Yaya that's one of the reason.


Tristan Gawen : So teacher, what do you play then? *referring to online stuff*
Me : *walao finally my turn to talk eh!* I chat online through MSN, have a HOTMAIL & FACEBOOK account, and i BLOG.
Tristan Gawen : YOU HAVE A BLOG?
Me : Ya, why??
Tristan Gawen : *shocked sangat look* what do you blog then?
Me : Random stuff. my life?
Tristan Gawen : Teacher, do u blog about us?
Me : Maybe. Maybe not. Why? wana me to blog about u both is it? Hhmmm what should i blog then? Two smart but lazy students?
Tristan Gawen : Nono! Two naughty bombastic lazy bump monkeys.

Farewell lunch

We're glad the company organized a farewell party for us, Sharon & I. Though it's only two short months working there, i'm proud to say....

I've been working as a data entry clerk under IPTS team in an engineering firm for one month. There are nine of us in IPTS team. Nicole is a caring senior who helped me a lot through out that one month. It's sad to bit fair well for her today.

We laugh our heart out through out the 1 hour breakie at the office. OT nowadays are enjoyable, never once we fail to laugh during OT. Laughter is the best medicine indeed. lol.

the reason i'm sitting in front of this friggin lag computer is because of the MATHs...

you see, i get RM30 pay for working 8 hours per day, which is 8.30am - 5.30pm. If you work overtime, OT 1 hour is equivalent to RM5.60.

So, here is the MATHs.


one day = a pair of sandals from Vincci two days = a top
three days = a cap from Esprit

four days = heels from Charles and Keith
five days = a dress

six days = a jacket/sweater/cardigan from MNG

seven days = Nike/Adidas sport shoes

eight days = a Levi's jeans

OT 1 hour = earings
OT 2 hours = bracelet

OT 3 hours = anklet
OT 4 hours = necklace

OT 5 hours = a shade

OT 6 hours = Häagen-Dazs

OT 7 hours = a belt
OT 8 hours = a purse
OT 9 hours = a bag
OT 10 hours = a watch
OT 11 hours = leotard from SG

this 'typist' job is pure dull. the only fascinating part is obviously the pay. and the fact that i'm still hangin in there is because of the MATHs.

Jobless recovery

Funny enough, I was only jobless for 2 days. Just as soon as I proclaim i was fired or rather jobless and whining all day and night about how i miss the kids and stuff, I got HIRED! Can you believe IT?! The call yesterday noon really drives me exhilarated that I almost bang myself on the wall.

AnyHoO, i'm currently working as a typist [or so?] at an Engineering firm. First day of work and i was already so so exhausted. Long hours ey, 8.30am to 5.30pm. For the sake of pwettie clothes and clack clack clack heels waiting for me out there, I will hang in there. Hhmm, I shall work OT! RM5+ per hour. You see, I'm so so desperate for MONEY!

Upon reaching home, I bolt straight for the door and BED, HERE I COME!

i’m on fire

nah. i dint exactly get that, it’s just i dint realise last Friday was my last day with the kids. Never did i know last Friday was the last day I teach. sigh.

long story short. miscommunication. I told the principal i was going to work until SPM result is released. She thought i was gonna work till end of Feb. The irony is that the moment i realised i was jobless, i quickly went for an interview. *keeping my fingers crossed*

I reached home at about 3pm. Then i sat on my bed there, wondering ‘shouldnt i be teaching at this time??'’. *sigh* So i decided to prank my friends. Call me lame or whatever, i was quite sad over this no more-teaching-playing-with-kids thingy and just needed someone to cheer me. *sigh again* I sent out this to them – Ladies! I got fired!

I miss the kids, i wana bribe them with sweets and chocs, i miss writing on the whiteboard. i practically miss teaching and spending time with those really cute kids. urgh urgh urgh. *grumpy face*

High School Musical 3

Surrounded by 12 naughty monkeys today. Yeap, those monkeys are my Primary 1 babes! I was exhausted by the class, so I skipped Ballet tonight.

After a nap, Mum brought me over to Christine's place with my grandma. Cuzzy is leaving for KL tomorrow, so well just meet up and catch a movie - High School Musical 3. I have bad comments for this movie! Total lousiness! Cuzzy and I were disappointed with it. Haha.

Teaching ABC !

Aloha ! Miss Tan survived teaching today!

Class starts at 2.30 p.m., I was freaking nervous at that moment, confused and completely lost my mind, I dont know where and how to start. Thank GOD! I quickly prayed, and God answered my prayer. He took away my fear, my stage fright thingy and I was able to speak out loud [for the first time I guess].

It was tiring! 2 hours teaching is enough for me. I cannot handle further long hours of teaching. lol. By the end of the class, I was exhausted and hungry already. Somemore, dry throats! I better drink more water before I teach next time. lol.

Once I reached home, I had my shower and dinner then quickly jumped into my lalaland. Then, suprise waiting for me! Cuzzy came into my room & mum woke me up! Weee! So happy to see Christine darling! At least I get to meet and chat with her before she leave for KL again. No worries, she's coming back for Chinese New Year. So, more meet ups! lol!

Hhmm... I might as well teach the kids about 'money'.

Went for the job interview this morning. I was expecting the interview to be in English, turns out to be in Mandarin. Ohh well, suits me fine since I can speak fluent Mandarin, but written is so not me! I wasnt that nervous or scared about the interview thingy, I'm more worried about the first day I teach. I survived the interview thingy and they hired me! Call me lucky cause the tuition centre is short of teacher at the moment. I'm please and glad!

This is my first time going for an interview, what more to say, my FIRST job. I just hope I dont freak out next Monday. I'm teaching Science and Maths, primary 4,5 & 6. I'll pray hard these kids wont be a pain on the neck, otherwise I really dont know how to handle them.

Problems spinning in my head now. I have 3 major problems with me. First, I have stage fright. Gotta overcome this otherwise how the hell I gonna go to Uni or college?? -.-'' Second, I have soft voice. Well, this is easy I guess. I'll just shout if they cant hear me. Third, the worst of all I have to teach Science and Maths in Mandarin!! Duhhhhh!! They gave me a sample of the teacher's copy for Science subject just now and I tried reading those words. MAN!! My Mandarin is really poor. I had difficulties reading those words!! Worst, I dont even recognise or read some of the Mandarin words though it's Primary syllabus. Failure though I took Mandarin till Form5. Guess I have to bring a Chinese Dictionary with me to class. Lol.

Anyway, Val might be joining me. I hope she gets this job too, then I'll have a partner!
